Véritable prouesse d’ébéniste pour l’admirateur amateur que je suis, le designer porte toute son attention sur la géométrie de l’ensemble venant souligner le confort et la conception.

Signe distinctif, le joint de bois en forme de nœud papillon venant maintenir les éléments du dossier incurvé.

Pièce réalisée en noyer brut, disponible en deux finitions.

Description du projet : “The Plane Chair is a combination of traditional construction and modern design. It is at once refined to simplicity and yet subtly complex. Utilising only natural glue and hand cut friction joints the chair is both sturdy and elegant. All surfaces have been reduced down to planes which catch and break the light as it falls across the hand polished hardwood. This design features wedged through-tenon and butterfly joints and no screws are used in its construction.“

J’aime beaucoup le conclusion de sa présentation … “An autodidact through and through he believes that there is nothing you cannot learn if you have a practical application for that knowledge. He has a deep love for beautiful well-made things and, being young and poor, decided that if he wanted these things he would just have to learn how to make them.“
